History of the Trust

Crofton Junior School became a stand alone academy in 2011 and then formed an Academy Trust with Crofton Infant School in 2012, at that time being called the Crofton Schools Academy Trust. As the Trust looked at Growth we changed the name of the Trust to Connect Schools Academy Trust in 2016 to ensure the name provided greater inclusivity to joining schools. In Jan 2017 Valley Primary School joined the Trust followed by Raglan Primary School in May 2017. In addition to this we secured a new Primary free school in 2017 which opened its doors to pupils as River Mill Primary School in September 2020. In July 2019 we were joined by Cage Green Primary under a directed academy order.

Crofton Infant School – 6 form entry Infant school with a 20 place severe and complex need unit and a nursery

Valley Primary School – 2 form entry Primary school with nursery

Raglan Primary School – 2 form entry Primary School and Language unit with nursery

River Mill Primary School – 2 form Entry Primary school with nursery

Cage Green Primary School – 2 form Primary currently reducing to 1 form with ASD Centre
